Curren$y Talks "Covert Coup"; Launches 47-Date Tour

Rapper Curren$y will drop a highly anticipated mixtape on 4/20 titled "Covert Coup" with legendary Hip-Hop producer, The Alchemist.

The rapper will also launch a 47-date tour starting on April 20th to celebrate the release of "Covert Coup," which will be given away for free via his new website CurrensySpitta.com.

Each week until April 20th, Curren$y is dropping a new single from the mixtape. Yesterday (April 6th), "Ventilation," was released via the rapper's official website.

“It sounds like smoke trails,” Curren$y said in a press release. “It’s like that, because the mood changes, all inspired by a few jokes and a gang of…well, you know. We had a good time making this record. It was originally supposed to be only a few songs, but the vibe was there so we just ran with it and ended up wrapping in like four days.”

On April 13th, Curren$y will drop the track "Scottie Pippen" and on April 18th he will release "Life Instructions."

On April 26th, his first official single titled "#jetsgo," will hit digital retailers.

"Covert Coup" features guest appearances by Prodigy, Smoke DZA and Freddie Gibbs.

On April 20th, Curren$y will stream the release party for "Covert Coup" from New Orleans, to fans in secret locations in New York and Los Angeles.
